Overview

This Policy explains how Stalkie (“we”) collects, uses, shares and protects data when you use the app, the stalkie.app website and related services (the “Service”).

It is Stalkie's official privacy notice, including for app store purposes. By using the Service, you confirm that you have read and understood this Policy.

Data we collect

  • Account and technical identifiers: internal user identifiers, your email when you sign in with it, and basic authentication and app install data.
  • Service usage: the profiles you choose to follow, activity detected on those profiles (such as new follows and unfollows), and your notification and language preferences.
  • Subscription: status, period, renewal and billing events received from the app store or payment processor you subscribed through. We never receive your full card number.
  • Notifications: your device token and the data needed to send alerts and confirm delivery.
  • Diagnostics and security: technical logs, crash reports, device model, operating system, app version, timestamps and performance metrics.

For the profiles you follow, we only process public Instagram information, such as username, name, profile photo and public following and follower lists.

We never ask for or store your Instagram password, and we have no access to messages, private content or private accounts.

How we use data

  • to run, maintain and support the Service;
  • to show activity and history for the profiles you follow;
  • to send alerts, digests and important notices about the Service;
  • to validate your subscription and unlock the matching features;
  • to detect fraud, abuse and technical issues;
  • to measure product usage and improve performance, reliability and experience.

Where the law requires it, such as under the GDPR or Brazil's LGPD, we process data on the basis of:

  • performance of a contract, to provide the Service you asked for;
  • legitimate interests, for security, fraud prevention and improving the Service;
  • compliance with legal or regulatory obligations;
  • consent, where needed, for example for notifications and optional analytics.

Sharing with third parties

We use providers that run parts of the Service on our behalf, in these categories:

  • hosting, database and infrastructure;
  • app stores and payment processors;
  • notification and email delivery;
  • product analytics, logging and error monitoring;
  • technology and artificial intelligence providers used by specific features.

These providers may only process data to deliver services to Stalkie, following our instructions, and must offer protection equal to or greater than the one described in this Policy.

We may also share data when the law requires it, to protect people's rights and safety, or in a corporate reorganization, always under this Policy.

International transfers

Some providers process data outside your country. When they do, we rely on safeguards recognized by applicable law, such as data protection contract clauses.

Cookies and local storage

On the website, we use the browser's local and session storage to keep you signed in, remember your language, save sign-up progress and complete payments. Optional analytics tools may receive product usage events.

Checkout pages hosted by our payment processor may set their own cookies under its policy. The app does not rely on browser cookies, but integrated components may use similar identifiers for security and diagnostics.

Retention

We keep data only as long as needed for the purposes in this Policy, to meet legal obligations and to protect the security of the Service.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, such as encryption in transit, access controls and error monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may:

  • confirm whether we process your data and get a copy;
  • correct incomplete or inaccurate data;
  • ask for deletion or anonymization;
  • ask for data portability;
  • withdraw consent where it is the basis for processing;
  • complain to the data protection authority in your country.

Data deletion: email privacy@stalkie.app with the subject “Data Deletion Request”. To protect your account, we may verify your identity before completing the request.

You can turn notifications off at any time in your device or app settings.

Children

The Service is not intended for children under 13, or the minimum age required by local law. If we learn that a child provided data without the required consent, we will delete it.

We may update this Policy. The latest version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated.
